Tina Ingraham Artist Maine

While living in Italy I painted the architectural ruins of the Umbrian countryside. The colorful patterns of the broken walls triggered my imaginings of the people building their homes, prying and lifting rock from the earth and layering the stone with broken bits of red ceramic roof tiles. I have been told that my paintings reminded them of something they had seen in Europe.  My love of history, and the warm light of Italy have influenced my palette and perception and what I choose to paint.
